Ingredients
・ Teapot (preferably a shatterproof "clear teapot")
・ Tea leaves: 4g
・ Hot water (70-80°C): about 200ml
Tips for Enjoying Your Tea
Based on the standard hot tea brewing method, the key is to use slightly less water (about 80% of usual) to account for the ice. It's best to finish the chilled tea before the ice melts and dilutes the flavor.
Brewing Instructions
1. First Infusion
Add 4g of tea leaves to the teapot. It's crucial to maintain the water temperature at 70°C.
While the clear teapot can hold 120ml of water, use about 80% of this to account for ice dilution. Let it steep for 1 minute and 20 seconds.
2. Rapid Cooling of First Infusion
Pour the tea into a glass server filled with ice, then stir thoroughly to chill it quickly.
Once chilled, pour it into a glass. Then, add ice to the empty glass server in preparation for the second infusion.
3. Second Infusion with 80°C Water
Pour 80°C water into the teapot. Again, use slightly less water for the second infusion. Wait for 10 seconds.
4. Rapid Cooling of Second Infusion
Pour the tea into the ice-filled glass server and stir to chill thoroughly. The second infusion may have a more vivid green color, depending on the tea leaves used.
5. Combine in the Same Glass
Pour the second infusion into the glass containing the first infusion. This creates a balanced tea with enhanced depth of flavor.
It's ready!
