Nikomaru Genmai Brown Rice for Topping

Show more

You can create your favorite genmaicha by "topping" it with brown rice.
The aromatic fragrance when hot water is poured is irresistible.

<How to Use>

Before pouring hot water for the third infusion, add 1-2 teaspoons of Nikomaru brown rice on top of the tea leaves, then pour hot water.
Your favorite tea will become genmaicha!

<Why the Third Infusion?>

The aroma of brown rice is very strong and can overpower the taste and fragrance of the tea carefully crafted by the tea producers.
(Usually, genmaicha is made with lower-grade bancha.)

As we only handle single-origin first flush teas, please enjoy the original taste and aroma of the tea for the first and second infusions.
By making genmaicha with the third infusion, the producers are happy that their tea is enjoyed up to the third infusion, and customers are happy to enjoy delicious genmaicha! It becomes a tea that's good for everyone.

Tea with rice mixed in from the beginning has the issue of the rice becoming soggy, making it difficult to enjoy the second and subsequent infusions. Please enjoy the "topping" method.
