"034 Yutakamidori" Recipe to Pair with Saury Flavor

"034 Yutakamidori" is a tea with abundant umami and sweetness. It has a rich aroma and enough strength to stand up to bold flavors. For this season, we recommend pairing it with saury, a quintessential autumn delicacy. Combining Yutakamidori with crispy, grilled saury creates a synergistic effect that enhances the overall flavor. The key to grilling delicious saury is to season it generously with salt. The aroma of seasonal saury on the grill is irresistible, even if you're not a cat.

Kagoshima Prefecture, where "034 Yutakamidori" is produced in the vast fields of Shibushi, is the second-largest tea-producing region in Japan after Shizuoka. This tea embodies the region's generous spirit, brimming with abundant umami. True to its name, Yutakamidori (meaning "rich green") is indeed rich in aroma, umami, and sweetness. Enjoy this robust cup that can stand up to the diverse flavors of autumn. This recipe is featured in Vol.32 of the tea subscription "TOKYO TEA JOURNAL".
