A Sand Timer Designed Exclusively for the First Brew's "1 Minute 20 Seconds"

This sand timer is designed specifically to measure the "1 minute 20 seconds" for the first brew. The pleasant feel of the wooden frame when turning it over is exceptional.

Crafted for Sencha-do Tokyo's Basic Recipe

This "1 minute 20 second sand timer" was created for Sencha-do Tokyo's basic recipe. It allows you to precisely time the 1 minute 20 seconds needed for steeping the first brew in 70°C water.

Artisanal Craftsmanship

The timer consists of a gourd-shaped glass component and a paulownia wood frame, each crafted by separate artisans. Currently, very few craftsmen can create this gourd-shaped glasswork, limiting production quantities.

Durable Design

The paulownia wood frame is custom-made to protect the glass component from impacts, making it resistant to breaking even if dropped. (In our store's experience, it hasn't broken once in over three years of use.)

Color Variations

The timer is available in two sand color variations: white and black, reflecting Sencha-do Tokyo's monochrome color scheme. Please note that due to the time-consuming manufacturing process and limited quantities, restocking may take some time when out of stock.
