Porcelain Cup for Second Brew

This porcelain cup is designed to enhance the crispness and richness of the second brew. A key feature is the ability to customize its appearance with separately sold sleeves.

Design

This Arita-yaki (Arita porcelain) cup was designed as a minimalist, unadorned sencha cup for everyday use. It uses a pure white glaze called "talc glaze". The surface, treated with sandblasting, has a matte, smooth texture that's pleasant to touch.

While Arita-yaki is famous for its bluish celadon paintings, we chose to create a plain white cup without decorations to give it a fresh, modern feel.

Taste and Usage

The slightly curved rim enhances the crisp taste of the tea. Use it as a simple, versatile cup for various occasions.

As it doesn't have a handle, the sides may become hot when filled with hot tea. In such cases, we recommend using the separately sold sleeve.

Usage Precautions

This product uses natural materials. Small black spots or pinhole-sized cavities may be visible due to the firing process. These are natural characteristics and not considered product defects.
