What are the taste and aroma of "Sayamakaori Japanese Black Tea"?

"Sayamakaori" is a tea variety registered in Sayama (Sayama City, Saitama Prefecture), as its name suggests. It is characterized by a slightly strong astringency and a full-bodied taste. Selected from a natural cross with Yabukita, this variety is known for its good aroma and is suitable for withering and processing into black tea.
"Sayamakaori" is a masterpiece finished as Japanese black tea through the fermentation process, with a solid core taste that has established itself as a dignified standard among Japanese black teas.

Recommended Recipe

Unlike green tea, black tea releases its full flavor in one steeping. Use 120ml of 100°C water and steep for 2 minutes. This recipe allows the aroma to develop most freely.

What to pair it with?

"Sayamakaori" pairs well with Western-style sweets that use fresh cream or butter. Its tannins help refresh the palate, making tea time very pleasant.

Appearance of Tea Leaves

Each leaf remains large and intact, showing excellent rehydration properties. The leaves have a strong aroma even in their dry state.
