Exquisite Creamy Foam! A Recreated Matcha Beer Recipe. Achieve Amazingly Delicious Results by Simply Mixing Powdered Green Tea

This is a perfect drink to enjoy casually at the end of a hard day's work or on a sunny afternoon during your day off. This unique beer is sure to catch everyone's attention at parties.

Have you ever heard of matcha beer?

Today, we'll introduce an easy matcha beer-style recipe using powdered green tea.

Using powdered green tea instead of matcha is not only wallet-friendly but also prevents clumping. You can easily recreate at home the matcha beer with long-lasting creamy foam, just like draft beer at a bar.

The deep green color and fluffy foam, which don't look like typical alcohol, are mesmerizing just to look at. The elegant aroma of tea that wafts to your nose and the umami of green tea that you can taste even in the foam are delightful. Beer lovers will be captivated by the unique bitterness and smooth texture, different from regular beer, which provides an extra sense of excitement and relaxation.

Let's start by trying it with Japanese lager beer. When combined with powdered green tea, it enhances the aroma and richness, offering a more refreshing flavor. The taste varies depending on the beer brand, so you can enjoy finding your favorite combination.

How to Make Powdered Green Tea Beer

<Ingredients>... For 1 serving

・1 stick (3.5g) of mild Japanese powdered green tea
・1 can of beer (350ml)
・Your favorite glass
・Tea strainer

<Instructions>

[1] Dissolve the powdered green tea

Put the powdered green tea in a separate container from the drinking glass, pour about 2 tablespoons of beer, and dissolve the powder.

[2] Strain the dissolved powdered green tea

Strain the dissolved powdered green tea into the drinking glass using a tea strainer.

[3] Pour beer into the glass

Tilt the glass and gently pour the remaining beer. Be careful not to pour too vigorously as it may create too much foam. The saponin effect in the tea creates a fluffy foam.

[Finished!]

We also tried it with other beers. "Various flavors"!

Many of our editorial team members are beer lovers, so we tried making green tea beer with various brands... All in the name of work, of course.

They all taste different! But the richness matches well, and the refreshing taste of tea is added... We ended up drinking more than we intended. Give it a try yourself!
