012 Asatsuyu, with its rich umami and aromatic profile, offers a noble taste reminiscent of gyokuro. It balances a robust body with a fresh, young grass-like aroma, leaving a refreshing sensation in the mouth after drinking.
We recommend pairing it with dishes that have strong umami flavors. When enjoyed alongside crispy-skinned, juicy grilled salted atka mackerel, the tea's soup-like umami complements the fish's savory notes and fatty richness, enhancing both flavors. The tea's taste, reminiscent of blue-tinted grains, leaves a clean and refreshing aftertaste.
