When it's difficult to enjoy cherry blossom viewing outdoors, let's enjoy "home hanami" with some fine tea, Japanese sweets, and cherry blossoms.
"044 Ujimidori" is elegant and refreshing, yet full of umami. Its floral, rich aroma creates a beautiful harmony with the taste of sakura mochi. It's a tea that makes you want to spend luxurious time savoring it slowly, enjoying the spreading flavor and aroma with each sip.
The bright, beautiful color of the tea complements the pale pink of cherry blossom petals well. Why not add this cup to your "home hanami," allowing you to feel the arrival of spring with both your tongue and eyes?
Savoring the Harmony of "044 Ujimidori" and Sakura Mochi
The floral aroma and umami match well with the scent and slight saltiness of sakura mochi. We'll brew at a slightly lower temperature to fully bring out the flavor.
<Ingredients>
• Tea leaves "044 Ujimidori" 4g
• Hot water (1st infusion) 75°C 120ml
• Hot water (2nd infusion) 80°C 60ml
<Instructions>
【1】Brew the first infusion
Put the tea leaves in the teapot and pour in 120ml of 70°C water. After 1 minute and 20 seconds, pour into two tea cups. Take a sip here to taste the aroma and umami.
【2】Brew the second infusion
After taking a sip, add the second infusion to the first. Add 60ml of 80°C water to the teapot, steep for 10 seconds, then pour into the two tea cups, and it's ready!
The rich aroma of "044 Ujimidori," which you could keep drinking forever, is perfect for special moments. Pairing it with something fragrant like sakura mochi allows its noble charm to bloom even more.
