"053 Haruto 34" has a gentle and refreshing taste like the May breeze. When enjoyed with Western-style pastries that have the aroma of wheat and butter, you can experience the tea's elegant sweetness even more.

This time, we're pairing it with a crumbly baumkuchen that melts in your mouth and cookies with a nostalgic cinnamon scent.

Simple Baked Goods and "053 Haruto 34"

Enjoy a refreshing yet robust flavor by steeping the first infusion slowly and the second quickly. Warming the vessel beforehand helps to bring out the tea's elegant aroma.

What You'll Need

  • "053 Haruto 34" tea leaves 4g

  • Water (first infusion) 75°C 120ml

  • Water (second infusion) 85°C 120ml
  • Brewing Method

    1/ Brew the first infusion

    Pour 120ml of 75°C water over the tea leaves in the teapot and steep for 1 minute and 20 seconds before pouring into the cup. During the steeping time, warm the cup with hot water, discard it, then pour in the tea and enjoy with the pastries.

    2/ Brew the second infusion

    For the second infusion, pour 120ml of 85°C water into the teapot, steep for 15 seconds, then pour into the cup to complete!

    TEA TALK

    This well-balanced tea features a gentle umami with subdued astringency and a sweet, elegant aroma. It's an extremely early-maturing variety harvested earlier than usual, heralding the arrival of spring ahead of time.
